2022 NEOS ASSEMBLY
MAY 13-14 | JOHN S. KNIGHT CENTER, DOWNTOWN AKRON
The Day One: Education Seminars are open to anyone who would like to attend the educational seminars. The seminars are offered in-person only. Doors open at 7:30 am for check-in and continental breakfast. Following the opening worship the morning education seminars begin. The afternoon seminars will begin after lunch and fellowship time. We will end our time together with closing worship and a reception.
Special pricing is available for congregations sending groups of FIVE or more participants to any of the Day One - Education Seminars. Email assebmbly@neos-elca.org to inquire about the special pricing.

Depolarizing Within - Braver Angels: Beverly Horstman and Eugene Rutz
- This workshop helps participants look within to see how they are engaging or participating in polarizing ways and offers tools to develop strategies for engagement.
- What does Michah 6:8 mean ‘Do justice?’ This seminar will explore different ways congregations do justice, how meaningful change happens and the roll of the faith community in making change happen.
- Ministry to our families has changed - drastically - over the last 2 years. In this seminar you’ll discuss/share next steps together.
- This workshop will focus on spiritual practices and prayer methods to help deepen one’s relationship with God.
- This workshop helps you through difficult political conversations with people in your life. Learn how to talk across the divide in a constructive ways.
- There are many ways to tell a single story. This session is a hands-on seminar using the CAGA storytelling process.
- Discover ways to move from surviving to thriving. Smaller churches are the new big!
- This seminar will explore how hunger is interconnected to other issues and what our congregations can do to address the root causes of hunger.
